张家港是沿江唯一以港口命名的城市，港口货物吞吐量常年位居全国县域口岸前列。长江岸线80.4km、主江岸线63.6km，万吨级以上的泊位79个，目前与140多个国家700多个港口保持贸易往来。拥有江苏唯一整车进口口岸，2022年成功获评国家进口贸易促进创新示范区。

Zhangjiagang, the only city named after the port along the Yangtze River and the city with the biggest throughput in the basin, with a coastline of 80.4 km in total and 63.6 km along the main stream of the Yangtze River, and 79 berths to handle 10,000 tonnage and above. It engages in trade exchanges with more than 700 ports located in over 140 countries. It has the one and only car import/export port in Jiangsu province, and was titled National Demonstration Zone for Import Promotion Innovation in 2022.
