张家港高新区于2015年11月经江苏省人民政府批准筹建，2018年成功去筹，2020年与高铁新城实施”两高融合”。高新区核心区规划面积44.2平方公里，位于张家港市东南部，物华天宝，人文荟萃。
高新区秉承”融人上海桥头堡、创新发展策源地、转型升级主引擎、城市建设新标杆”的创新发展理念，把握长三角一体化历史发展机遇，提升企业能级、城市能级，提高文明指数、幸福指数，以开放包容的心态，致力于打造长三角沪港互融新城、苏锡通创新创智中心。
Construction of Zhangjiagang Hi-Tech Zone(ZHIDZ) kicked off in November 2015 after the approval of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government. It was successfully completed in 2018 and merged with the high-speed railway new city in 2020. Located in the southeast of Zhangjiagang City, Hi-Tech Zone is planned to cover a core area of 44.2 km2. It is a land of abundant talent and culture.
The Hi-Tech Zone upholds the innovation development concept of “integration with Shanghai, source of innovation development, main engine of transformation and upgrading, and new benchmark of urban construction”. It should seize the historical development opportunity of the integration of the Yangtze River Delta, to improve the level of enterprises and cities, and raise the index of civilization and happiness. With an open and inclusive attitude, it is committed to building a new city mutually integrated with Shanghai in the Yangtze River Delta and an innovative and creative center within Suzhou, Wuxi and Nantong.
