Deep processing of Glass Project

Jiangsu Farun Group is the largest float glass manufacturer in China, mainly producing float glass thick from 3-19 mm. It has over 8,000 employees and US$ 1 billion of total asset. Currently the whole group owns totally 14 production lines with factories all over China (9 in Zhangjiagang Jiangsu Province, 1 in Juye Shandong Province, 3 in Jiangmen Guangdong Province, 1 in Dalian Liaonin Province). The 1100T/D production lines in Jiangmen Guangdong Province are of the largest scale in the world, with annual production capacity of 67 million weight cases, accounting for 16% of the total output in China. Other than float glass factories, the Group also engages in glass-related industries including a glass deep processing center in Zhangjiagang Jiangsu Province with annual capacity of 8 million square meters, a Soda factory in Huai’an Jiangsu Province, a Quartz Sand field in Changxing Zhejiang Province and a Tar refinery in Zhenjiang Jiangsu Province.

As Chinese government’s great efforts to promote energy efficiency in the country that is also the trend in the world, high value-added glass related to energy-saving, safety and environmental protection such as LOW-E coated glass, insulating glass and solar glass, etc. is to be the mainstream in the glass market.

The proposed project is to produce high value-added glass products by using quality mirror glass and automotive glass of Farun Group, such as parallelogram insulating glass, top grade appliance glass, solar control glass, new-type toughened glass and LOW-E coated glass, etc.
