I. Background for Proposed Project
Jingang Town of Zhangjiagang City is located in the Yangtze River Delta Economic Region surrounding by Shanghai, Nanjing, Wuxi, Changzhou, etc. It enjoys convenient transportation conditions by close to the Yangtze Rive. The whole town covers an area of 1.26 square kilometers with a population of 170,000. There are Zhangjiagang Port ---an international port, Zhangjiagang Free Trade Zone and Jiangsu Yangtze International Chemical Industrial Park. The mainstay industries include textile, machinery, light industry, metallurgy, foodstuff and chemical industry.
Equipment manufacturing has already taken its shape in the Town. There are over 80 equipment manufacturers with US$1.5 billion annual sales revenue totally, covering shipboard cryogenic containers, cryogenic vessels mounted on vehicles, pressure vessels, chemical machinery, construction machinery, marine machinery and their spare parts and accessories.
II. Project Information
Jingang Equipment Manufacturing Cluster District is available with complete infrastructures. It intends to attract projects of heavy equipments, special ships, offshore platforms, wind power generation equipments, etc.
