Logistic Center for Jingang Spandex Yarn Base

Jingang Town of Zhangjiagang City is located in the Yangtze River Delta Economic Region surrounding by Shanghai, Nanjing, Wuxi, Changzhou, etc. It enjoys convenient transportation conditions by close to the Yangtze Rive. The whole town covers an area of 1.26 square kilometers with a population of 170,000. There are Zhangjiagang Port ---an international port, Zhangjiagang Free Trade Zone and Jiangsu Yangtze International Chemical Industrial Park. The mainstay industries include textile, machinery, light industry, metallurgy, foodstuff and chemical industry.

Jingang Town is famous for its spandex yarn production base. There are over 180 spandex yarn manufacturers. The town’s sales revenue from spandex yarn reached US$1.5 billion, accounting for 30% of the whole town’s economic output, 1/3 of entire spandex yarn market in China.

 

The Spandex Yarn Logistic Center is to serve not only Jingang Town but also the whole Yangtze River Delta Region, to provide a platform for storage, detection, distribution and trade of spandex yarn. It covers an area of 66,000 square meters with a 30,000 square meters’ warehouse, a 15,000 square meters’ yard, a 3,000 square meters’ business center and support facilities, logistic information system, detection facilities, etc. It is estimated be finished in Oct., 2010. After the completion of the project, the estimated annual logistic capacity and trade volume will reach 50,000 tons of spandex, 300,000 tons of cotton yarn, 200,000 tons of cotton and 300,000 tons of spandex yarn.
