Public Wharf Project for Yangtze Metallurgical Logistic Center

Jiangsu Yangtze International Metallurgical Industrial Park (YMIP) was approved by Jiangsu Provincial Government in 2003, covering an area of 40 square kilometers. The annual production capacity of the Park can reach 15 million tons of iron, 18 million tons of steel, 18 million tons of rolled steel, 1 million tons of stainless steel and 150,000 tons of hot dip galvanized steel plate. Besides there are also projects with annual capacity of producing 100,000 tons of Lead Oxide, 200,000 tons of Electrolytic Copper, 60,000 tons of Refrigeration Copper Tube and 70,000 tons of copper wire, etc. The whole Park realized nearly US$ 18 billion of sales revenue, US$ 1.8 billion of profits and tax, US$ 2.4 billion of exports in 2008. As a world-famous steel industrial park in the world, YMIP plans to develop the largest metallurgical logistic center in East China.

 

The metallurgical logistic center is to build two 30,000-50,000 tonnage class bulk berths (also 100,000-ton carriers can be anchored). It covers 450,000 square meters of land area, mainly engaged in trade, processing distribution, deep processing, logistic management, storage and transportation of steel products.
