Yangshe Town, the seat of Zhangjiagang Municipal Government, is its political, economic, cultural and transportation center. In 2008, Yangshe Town realized 38.5 billion of industrial output value, 1.7 billion of tax turnover, and  7.2 billion of value-added services.
