According to THE URBAN MASTER PLAN OF ZHANGJIAGANG CITY which was approved by Suzhou  and Jiangsu Governments in 2006, Zhangjiagang City will be developed into "a city with 4 main districts around". 

The city center ---Yangshe Town  will serve as a center for whole city''s administration, business and culture activities. It is also the best habitat area with beautiful environment , the production service center and the base for high-tech industries.

Jingang Town will be developed into a port industrial center with focus on transportation, logistics and chemical industry,etc.

Jinfeng Town will be an industrial center along Yangtze River with leading enterprises such as Jiangsu Shagang Group--- one of the largest steel companies in the world.

Tangqiao Town will go to the center for various light industries including a complete chain for textile industry.

Leyu Town will focus on ecological agriculture and related service industies like tourism, etc.

Generally speaking, Zhangjiagang City is going to be a modern port industrial city with clear industry direction and  ideal environemnt.
