Despite the sliding of wool processing trade in the global market for the financial crisis, the production and export of wool products in Zhangjiagang Free Trade Zone increase rapidly. According to statistics proviede by Customs, from Jan. to Aug. there are 9,128 tons of wool top exported increased by 11.1% compared with previous year and keeping the leading position in China.

For the good investment environment. preferential bonded policies, regulated management, great support from the local goverment and conveninent custom declaration procedures, Zhangjiagang Free Trade Zone attracts attention from the wool industry. Enterprises dealing in wool industry in Free Trade Zone have developed rapidly. Zhangjiagang Free Trade Zone becomes wool trade base and wool top export base in China.  Its export of wool top in 2008 accounted for 40% of the Nation''s total volume, being the largest in China.

By Aug. the export value of wool top has reached US $ 72.88 million. Besides the abosolute advantage in Asian market, it also covers over 20 countries and regions such as Austtalia, New Zealand, United State and European Market.
